Wilderhood Watch member Steven has been busy incorporating a camera into one of the Lancaster Road Hedgehog Houses. Solar-powered and fully automated, Hedgecam-1 can capture video footage and photos when a hedgehog enters the house. It is even programmed to send notifications to his mobile phone whenever it detects a visitor!
Latest instalments include a floor scale to weigh the hedgehogs, and a weight triggered alarm to deter any cats from entering.
