We are currently contacting neighbours to see if they would like to join us in running a Hedgehog Street and Pollinator Highway project along our street.
Our Hedgehog Street project will involve us all giving access to hedgehogs into our gardens by creating hedgehog holes. We’ll also be sharing lots of information on how to make our gardens hedgehog friendly.
As hedgehogs’ favourite food is caterpillars and beetles, we’re keen to increase the number of these invertebrates in our gardens by also creating a Pollinator Highway. Swapping pollinator-friendly plants with our neighbours is a great way to do this, so we’ll be encouraging people to save their seedlings and seeds.
