Langley Crescent

Welcome to the Langley Crescent Wilderhood Watch page!

We have lots of keen gardeners on Langley Crescent who are always looking for ways to attract more wildlife into their gardens. At our first meeting on March 27th we chatted about creating a Buzz Stop on the Langley Cresc/Beckett’s Ave triangle, and started planning how to create a Pollinator Highway along our street.

We’re going to launch our Pollinator Highway project by asking our neighbours to fill out a survey a bit like the one above. Hopefully their answers will give us an idea of how biodiverse our street is, and which insects we particularly need to consider. For example, to attract more orange-tip butterflies we will need to plant garlic mustard, while planting a native wildflower meadow will encourage bees and hoverflies.
