Welcome to our Glenferrie Rd Wilderhood Watch group!
We launched our Pollinator Highway project on the morning of July 31 2023 with a session on how to share pollinator friendly plants from our gardens. It was lovely to meet up, chat about everything garden related and discuss how to swap some of the plants on our plant swap list. Some of the topics we covered included how to make cuttings, harvesting seeds, dividing plants at the roots and recognising seedlings.
Hopefully between everybody we’ll be able to share out lots of the flowers we already have growing in our gardens. This will increase the pollen and nectar supply our pollinators can access throughout the year, increasing populations and creating higher biodiversity.
