Burnham Rd

Welcome to the Burnham Rd Wilderhood Watch Group page! If you would like to become involved in any of our projects, please contact Belinda (ph: 07852603516).

Here’s a beautiful example of a garden mini-pond, complete with some stunning Marsh Marigolds. A great addition to our Toad Road project!

Our group is currently trying out vegan recipes in an effort to eat less meat and dairy. To try out a few of our favourites, check out the Wilderhood Watch recipe page!

This lovely hedgehog was spotted in a Burnham rd garden in July 2021, and since then we’ve had many sightings along our street. Our Hedgehog Street project ensures that residents give hedgehogs access to our gardens via hedgehog holes, and that they are free from chemicals including slug pellets.

We have also initiated a brand new Community Recycling project along with Salisbury Ave and Garden Close. This aims to support people along our streets to recycle items such as printer cartridges and tetrapaks, which are currently not collected by the Council.

We had a great time checking out each other’s ponds and pond dipping at our Pond Walk on the 20th September 2021. We’re hoping neighbours will now be inspired to dig more ponds in their gardens, creating our very own Toad Road!
